Spring as a reset: a fresh start for your next step
March 21. The first day of spring.
If you look around, nature is waking up. Trees are slowly turning green again. Flowers begin to bloom. The air feels lighter. There is movement everywhere. Spring is not forcing anything. It simply starts again. And it does so with a quiet kind of courage.
Maybe this is exactly what many professionals in transition need right now: not more pressure, but the courage to begin again.
If you have been in a job search or career transition for some time and things have not moved as expected. That can feel frustrating. Heavy. Even discouraging.
But what if you treat this moment like nature does?
Not as a failure.
But as a new beginning.
Instead of pushing harder, try something different. Use this moment as a “refresh button.”
Here are a few simple steps to help you move forward again:
Take a step back and reflect
Look at the last 6 months.
What worked well? Keep doing it.
What did not work? Let it go.
Spring is about creating space for something new.
Reconnect with your value
Take a deep look at your strengths and your experience.
What makes you unique?
What do you bring to the world that others don’t?
Believe in your value again. Confidence grows from clarity.
Check your balance
How are you doing physically, emotionally, and mentally?
Are you taking care of all three?
Energy matters. Without it, even the best strategy won’t work.
Get back into motion
Spring is movement.
Take small steps every day.
Reach out, apply, connect, learn - with intention.
Not randomly but aligned with your strengths and your positioning.
Progress does not have to be perfect. It just has to move.
Stay open to new directions
Sometimes the path forward is not the one you planned.
Spring reminds us that growth can look different than expected.
Stay curious. Stay flexible.
You don’t have to do it alone
If you feel stuck and don’t know how to press your “refresh button,” Let's talk
Sometimes all it takes is a new perspective to get things moving again.
