7 tips on how to have maximum impact and drive in your job search after your summer break
Lately I have been having quite a number of conversations with job seekers who, despite having had a good summer break, find themselves lacking the drive and productivity required to move forward.
Well, dear job seekers, the tough job market will not take account of your feelings and lack of drive - sorry! So how to boost your productivity, to increase your impact and to focus on your job search?
- Keeping agile and focused will have the most impact on your job search in today’s fast-paced working world and job market.
- Increasing and or maintaining your level of fitness e.g. spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically are core to achieving success. Establish your daily routines in order to keep fit on all levels.
- Being uncertain about one’s career goal leads to a lack of motivation and drive. Go and do your homework once again and research what you actually want to do and why?
- Aligning your resources to achieve your wished objective is vital. Not sure of your personal resources? Go and do your reflection work once again and make yourself aware of your resource pool!
- Finding out what worked best so far and what didn’t work and why? Reset your job search strategy and start executing it step by step.
- Trying to “fight” the job search battle alone and not getting very far? Get help, go and find your mentor or coach. They will help you to get back on your feet if you should fall…
- Taking the courage, daring and being brave will pay off!
Take the courage to move forward...
